How we hire new swappians

The process

  • Interviews

  • We do get it - applying for work IS hard work

  • Why?

How to apply - our tips!

  • What we want to see in your CV:

    • Name

    • Contact details (email and preferably also phone number)

    • Work history (from most recent to earliest)
      • Dates

      • Name of the company

      • Job title

      • Tasks/responsibilities within the job

    • Skills (language skills, IT-skills etc.)

    • Education & other certifications

    What should be left out:

    • Listing irrelevant job experience

    • Embellishing the truth

    • Facts unrelated to work, e.g. your height, weight, age, ethnicity, references, religious affiliations, military training or civil status.

    • Hobbies (if not relevant for the position).

    • Picture is not necessary

    • Terminology that is specific to your employer/industry/field of expertise (us recruiters are not experts in everything, even though that would be super cool!)

  • What we'd love to read from your cover letter

    • Why would you want to work at Swappie and in this particular job

    • What motivates you

    • What you'll bring to the role you are applying for

If CV is like the “ingredient list” of “Product You”, consider cover letter to be the advertisement of “You”.

Try to answer why should we select “Product You” compared to other products, whose ingredients list might be fairly similar.

  • What to expect from our interviews:

    • We ask you to share concrete examples of your past experiences and achievements. These questions start with
      • “Describe how you …”

      • “Give me an example of a situation when…”

      • “Think of a situation when you…”

    • During a case assignment we are interested in your analytical and problem solving skills in action. We don't just want the final answer to the practical assignment; we want to see how you think. Your thought process is as important as the solution itself. Be prepared to describe how you came to the solution you did.

    • We are prepared to answer your questions too! The recruiter can answer your general questions about Swappie, about our business, culture, people, compensation and working conditions. The Hiring Manager is the one from whom to ask more detailed questions about the role, KPI’s, expectations, team dynamics, their leadership style etc.

    • We want to keep the discussion relaxed and conversational, but we will not shy away from the difficult questions either.

    • It is a two-way road, not an inquisition: We see interviews as a way for you to figure out too, if you’d love working here and if you feel confident in succeeding in the role.

    • If you have made it to an interview, your skills and experience already match our requirements - you can relax and bring your confident self in the discussion!

  • All open positions are just a couple of scrolls up on this career site, and you can apply to them by clicking the "Apply for this job" button.

Note that we can receive applications via our recruitment system only!
As your application contains your personal information, we want to play by the GDPR rules, thus applications via our emails will be deleted without separate notice.
