Our total compensation setup is quite simple; it consists of four main elements:

Base salary is the cash part of our compensation. Paid either on a monthly basis (fixed monthly pay) or hourly basis (variable based on hours worked per pay period).

Stock options - the equity and long-term incentive part of our compensation. We want everyone who has helped us build Swappie to have the chance to really own piece of the company they have helped build!

Benefits packages vary according to the country where our employee is working from. The local benefit sets will be discussed during the hiring process, for sure!

The less known, but equally important, elements are the non-monetary ones, like sports and culture clubs, company events, recognition, autonomy, career/growth opportunities and remote work.
Swappie Job Levels
We have a total of 12 different job levels:
7 for Individual Contributors (IC) and 6 for Managers (M)
Job levels help us differentiate expectations and responsibilities in similar roles based on competency, maturity, expertise, skills and knowledge. They're crucial for setting clear expectations, goals, and pay evaluations. These levels also guide Swappie’s career growth plans, enabling us to outline differences in responsibilities and expectations across roles.
We assess employees' job levels bi-annually during the performance and compensation review to ensure a systematic, objective and fair approach to reviewing performance, setting goals and targets and determining compensation. This practice also aids Swappie in organising career advancement.
