Senior HR Business Partner (fixed-term), Helsinki
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will join our People team at our HQ in Helsinki. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across the Finland/HQ organisation and acting as a trusted advisor, a culture champion, and a driver of people initiatives that create real business impact.
You will work closely with the wider People team (HR & TA) to align HR strategy with business goals, lead key people initiatives, and ensure Swappie remains a place of high engagement, strong performance, and inclusive culture.

What You'll Work On
Strategic HR Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and executives across Swappie HQ. Understand business needs deeply and align HR plans and initiatives to support them.
Engagement & Culture: Drive initiatives that improve eNPS, employee engagement, and wellbeing. Be an ambassador for Swappie's culture of impact orientation, growth mindset, and inclusion.
Performance & Development: Support and guide leaders through performance management, development conversations, and talent decisions. Help build a culture of accountability and continuous growth.
People Analytics & Insights: Use data and analytics to identify trends, recommend solutions, and support informed HR decision-making. Track and own KPIs across engagement, productivity, health, diversity, and compliance.
Organisational Design: Ensure the organisation structure supports business and people needs. Partner with leaders on workforce planning and organisational changes.
HR Cycle Management: Lead and manage key HR cycles including the annual performance and salary review, in collaboration with the broader People team.
Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with Finnish labour law and relevant regulations. Proactively mitigate legal and HR-related risks.
Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with other HR functions (Talent Acquisition, L&D, HR Ops) to ensure a coordinated and aligned approach to people matters across the company.
We Would Love to Hear From You If You Have…
Senior level experience: Solid experience in an HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role (maybe in a fast-growing or international company environment?), and a proven ability to work as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by influencing, challenging, and supporting them on people matters.
People & culture expertise: Strong understanding of engagement, performance management, organisational development, and culture building.
Analytical mindset: Comfort working with HR data and metrics to identify insights and drive evidence-based decisions.
Finnish labour law: Solid understanding of Finnish employment legislation and experience managing compliance matters and employee relations.
Initiative management: Experience planning and executing people initiatives from start to finish, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in both Finnish and English — you engage people at all levels with clarity and confidence.
Impact-oriented, growth mindset, and genuinely inclusive mindset: You focus on outcomes, involve people in solutions, and foster psychological safety.

Practicalities
📍 Location: Helsinki, Finland (HQ).
📅 Start date: Ideally in August, negotiable.
🕑 Working hours: Monday to Friday, standard business hours, hybrid remote.
📝 Contract: Fixed-term until May 2027 (parental leave cover).
💰 Salary: 5000-5850€/month (defined individually based on experience).
