Shift Lead (m/w/d)
To continue to support Swappie’s profitable growth in making buying refurbished electronics mainstream, and making our Operations stronger, we are seeking for a dedicated team player to join us as a
SHIFT LEAD in Leipzig.
In this role as a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Production employees, Experts and Team Leads, ensuring high quality and productivity in output, shared standards, working processes, and culture. This involves supervising, onboarding, and coordinating team efforts. You will focus on developing team members and optimising ways of working, while boosting morale and motivation to assure high employee engagement and retention.
Achieving business targets will be a key aspect of your role, requiring a proactive approach to resource and competence planning. A key component of this will be developing a high-performing team that can consistently achieve targets. As Shift Lead, you will be accountable for the performance of the shifts and lead people in your direct team, as well as the wider shifts, with an impact-oriented, coaching, and inclusive approach.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT SWAPPIE
Our Leipzig site is a dynamic and diverse hub, currently home to 80 employees and set to grow up to double its size in the future. What started as a 20-person team has now evolved into an international workplace, with 25 different nationalities fostering a truly global environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SHIFT LEAD WILL INCLUDE
Communication & Leadership:
Ensuring effective information flow between teams and leadership.
Providing and receiving feedback to/from the Site Manager.
Leading by example, upholding Swappie's leadership principles.
Team Management & Development:
Onboarding and integrating new team members.
Setting, monitoring, and achieving individual and team targets.
Conducting regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews.
Recognising and fostering high performance.
Supporting personal development.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
Innovating and implementing lean process changes.
Prioritising daily work and allocating resources effectively.
Monitoring and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Ensuring shift competence growth and quality output.
Monitoring and implementing company OKRs.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Collaborating with various departments (HR, Experts, Central Operations) to implement improvements.
Ensuring accurate time and leave tracking.
Handling day-to-day tasks and resolving complex issues.
Promoting and following guidelines and processes.
WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU
Have at least 1 year of experience in leading operations or managing processes in a warehouse related environment.
- Have been leading and coaching people in a multicultural team.
Experience in fulfilment and/or processing of electronics/small goods is seen as a plus.
Are skilled in MS Office or Google Suite/ especially in Excel or Google Sheets.
Know process development methodologies.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
A bachelor's degree is seen as an advantage.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Working time is Monday - Friday 16:00 - 00:00 (includes a 30 minute paid lunch break).
